Protective case for iPod nano

As iPod has quite a well polished and shiny surface, it's prone to scratching. That's why I got long ago an idea of protective case and they're indeed sold by Apple, but the prices are quite steep for such a simple product, so I decided to make a metallic case of my own.

Starting material was 0,5 mm brass sheet, which I formed into 2 halfs of the case and soldered with silver on the sides. I also glued on the inside an artificial leather sheet to protect the ipod from scratching. The surface is textured with jeweler's hammer for additional 'character', and polished to high degree.

The strange thing is that my iPod is already all scratched due to daily usage of two years, and now I decided to make a protective case with mirrorlike surface... Well, it was nice learning experience if nothing else.
